FAFSA Day is a program offered by College Foundation of North Carolina, the North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the State Employees' Credit Union each February.
On FAFSA Day, Saturday February 22, 2014 college financial aid officers and other volunteers will help students complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. The program is open to students who plan to attend college in the 2014-15 academic year.

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund. APIASF has distributed more than $50 Million College Scholarships to Asian American and Pacific Islander students. Applicants must be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizen of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia and the Republic of Palau are also eligible. AXA Achievement Scholarships. The AXA Achievement Scholarship in association with U.S. News & World Report provide $670,000 in annual scholarship to young people throughout the nation. Fifty-two winners – one from each state, the District of Colombia and Puerto Rico – are selected by non-profit partner, Scholarship America, to receive one-time scholarship awards of $10,000 each. From the pool of 52 state winners, ten are selected as national winners and earn an additional one-time scholarship of $15,000. These top ten also receive the offer of an internship with AXA. Scholarship winners are known as AXA Achievers. They are ethnically and economically diverse, but they share these qualities: Ambition & drive; determination to set and reach goals; respect for self, family and community; and ability to succeed in college. Program specifics and application materials are now available at www.exa-achievement.com. Under ‘Scholarship Programs,’ click where it indicates ‘Learn More’ and ‘Apply Now.’ APPLY EARLY: only the first 10,000 applications will be accepted. The application deadline is December 1, but if 10,000 applications are received before that date, the program will automatically close.
